panoramic stitching programs

if you’re like me and want to create panoramic images w/out spending lots of money i’d highly recommend autostitch.  things it has going for it:

• it’s free!
• it’s fairly easy to use (one page of options to figure out)
• it produces really good results if you’ve used a tripod and standard zoom lens (so things are aligned properly and not skewed from a wide angle lens)

it’s what i use for all of my panos at this point.  i’m still to cheap to go out and buy the full version of photoshop ($699 last time i checked).

here’s an old pano i did when i first started.  this was done with autostich and as you can see it did a pretty good job.
