well, it’s time again for the next alaska photo safari and workshop. for past safaris we’ve gone to angel rocks and shot the sunrise

as well as chatanika to shoot gold dredge #3

and our last photo safari was more workshop than safari. because of the weather we stayed indoors and all gathered around the flat screen to learn how to finish our photos with Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom 2, Gimp, and various other tools.
this next photo safari will be a mix of “safari” and workshop. we’re going to north pole (to my in-laws place actually) and will use their great room as a studio complete with backdrops and studio flashes! we’ll spend the first half of the day shooting (8-noon) with a break for lunch and then the afternoon (1pm-5pm)will be spent finishing photos in the digital darkroom.
for our shooting we’ll have 4 different setups:
for our digital darkroom we’ll be using Photoshop, Photoshop Lightroom 2, Gimp, Autostitch (for panos), Photomatix (for HDRs) so if you have a laptop with software feel free to bring it along to walk through it with us.
there will be something for everyone so bring your camera gear (camera, flashes, tripods, gels, etc) and come prepared to have fun and learn!
