Alaska Photo Workshops

The latest Alaska Photo Workshops have now been scheduled for May and July of 2010.  These will be great events packed with tons of useful information for the digital photographer.

In May we are going to Harding Lake to spend the day shooting and exploring the area.  This will be a great time to get out and enjoy some of that newly acquired daylight.  We will focus on the following four areas:

• how to frame your subject
• how and why to shoot with filters
• how to use depth of field to your advantage
• how to get a new and different perspective on a subject

In July we will be traveling a portion of the Denali Highway to visit the McLaren Lodge.  This will be an overnight trip requiring a bit of planning but all you have to do is show up with your gear and a willingness to learn.  We are taking care of the transportation and lodging.  All you will need to do is bring some snacks and some money for meals while at the McLaren Lodge.

• how to draw attention to your subject
• camera holding techniques
