Joe L.: “So the back story, if you want to know, is that Sammy decided to fall asleep in his highchair after lunch and I really had the itch to shoot something; a sleeping child always opens up a lot of possibilities since they aren’t moving Anyhoo, I immediately noticed how the light was falling on his head and shoulders so I grabbed the a200 and started to shoot. After shooting several different angles, I decided to focus completely on the curves of his neck and shoulder but the back ground of the highchair posed a problem. A simple solution was one of my 2XL black t-shirts draped over the back to eliminate distraction from the main subject and to bring a nice contrast to his skin set against the black.”
