I shot this after everyone went home from the last Alaska Photo Workshop.
Extension tubes can be a great way to get closer to your subject and create some really cool effects. I own the Kenko pack of 3 (12mm, 20mm, 36mm).
Here we have a flower which I shot using the Nikon 70-300 VR lens at 70mm with all three extension tubes attached. My lens is only an inch or so away from the subject at this point.

I also used the photo tent with a flash on both sides for lighting. Both flashes were diffused before hitting the tent so the light was diffused twice.
I love the results this gives.
