The blue hour is the period of time before sunrise and after sunset where your blues really begin to pop. This is a favorite time for photographers to head out and snap a few shots.

This shot was taken with a 1/2 second shutter speed with a zooming action from 70 to 200mm for the duration of the shot. Because of the slow shutter speed a tripod was also used.
