Composition

One of the elements we’ll work on during the next Alaska Photo Workshop will be composition.  In this photograph I wanted the dark ominous clouds with rain in the background but I was standing at the time and didn’t have anything to place in the foreground.  About that time I noticed some grass blowing in the breeze which I thought looked cool so I knelt down so the grass was then placed in the foreground.  It would have been even better had there been flowers, creek, or something else visually interesting nearby but in a pinch the grass did its job.
