Wow morning came early! The alarm went off at 3:56am and I didn’t want to move. But, alas, photographs wouldn’t wait. A few minutes and a Starbucks Vanilla Frappachino later the rest of the gang met us in the van to head out to the bluff at the other end of the valley.
Was it worth it?
Why don’t you tell me.

After the great colors were gone and the caribou had had enough of us we headed back to the lodge for breakfast. One the way back we stopped at Gunnysack Creek for lunch and more photographs. After lunch we hiked up the creek and found some great photo opportunities.

The light was perfect as the clouds danced in the sky, teasing us with their presence.

Thanks to Ovie, Dennis, Donna, and Ellen for coming along!
Be sure to check out the next Alaska Photo Workshop. We’re staying indoors for the next event and will be getting to know our cameras and flashes a little better for the holidays! We only have room for 8 participants and our last indoor lighting event sold out so be sure to email me as soon as you know you want to go. The price is only $30 for a full day of instruction! Woot!!
